C1.2 Unit 3: Wildlife
Project
Give 5-10-minute presentation on an interesting plant, animal or creature.
It can be from your home country, or it can be from anywhere, including Aotearoa / New Zealand.
Preparation – Tuesday Lesson 2 + (homework)
Use the internet to find some interesting facts about your chosen topic.
Take some different angles – its evolution, its habitat, interesting behavior, cultural significance, place in mythology, threats to its survival, problems it creates for species... You can choose what you want to focus on more.
Turn this info into some basic notes
Think about vocabulary you’ve been learning, especially wildlife vocab. Try to add as much of it to your basic notes as you can. Write your presentation if you like, or just work the vocab into your notes.
Perhaps finish your preparation by anticipating further questions the other students might ask you.
Choose a few pictures to illustrate your presentation, but don’t worry about making a power-point. I think we should focus on speaking with a wide range of vocab and good clear speech.
If you send me the pictures, I can put them on my blog and we’ll use that. Nice and simple.
We can do the talks on Friday morning.
